SCAM Alert: Council Tax messages.

Swansea council are aware of recent scam emails claiming that a credit has been added to your Council Tax account and is asking you to click a link to view your account or claim money back.

• STOP before you click
• DON'T click suspicious links
• DON'T provide personal or banking details
• DON'T use contact details contained in suspicious message

Swansea council may send genuine emails or text message notifications about your Council tax.
Know what to look for:

» Genuine Council Tax texts will show as coming from SWANSEA.GOV
» Links sent in those text messages will start with CTAXMS.SWANSEA.GOV.UK
» Genuine emails will come from an email address ending in SWANSEA.GOV.UK
